Essence Murillo is the Executive Assistant of the Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP), a national organization of SEIU unions and healthcare employers. Essence comes to H-CAP with a varied background in engineering, project management, and the non-profit sector. She has over a decade of experience in project management with a primary focus in leading multi-year federal. 

Prior to H-CAP, Essence served at national firms, Women-Owned Business Enterprises, Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and Disadvantage Business Enterprises as a project lead successfully maximizing productivity, handling procedures methodically and strategically. With a track record of strong performance in research, communications, correspondence, and office controls, she ensures the smooth execution of office protocols and internal and external compliance obligations related to contracts.  

Ms. Murillo’s robust and strategic knowledge of project management and stakeholder engagement, supports H-CAP’s mission to inform, educate and assist healthcare industry partners and the public workforce systems by providing top-notch educational opportunities for healthcare workers. Essence received a BS from Missouri State University.
