Angela Thomas is a Program Coordinator at H-CAP working to strengthen Michigan's nursing home workforce through the Nursing Home Workforce Stabilization Grant. She is committed to building diversity, equity, and inclusion within the healthcare workforce, supporting initiatives that enhance career satisfaction and advancement amongst nursing home workers.
Prior to joining H-CAP, Angela was a seasoned workforce development professional with over 10 years of experience in creating and managing engaging and interactive training programs for adults seeking careers in the healthcare sector. As a career navigator for Phipps Neighborhoods Career: Network Healthcare program in partnership with Montefiore Medical Center, she successfully assisted 100 young adults in the South Bronx in securing entry-level employment. Angela's expertise lies in a trauma-informed approach to workforce development, and she has a proven track record in developing and fostering equitable employment pipelines.
Angela is a proud Public Allies Los Angeles AmeriCorps alumna, dedicated to promoting economic freedom for disenfranchised communities, and is passionate about creating opportunities and pathways for individuals to achieve sustainable and meaningful employment in the healthcare industry.
