CORLITA MAHR SPREEN
Program Manager -Apprenticeship
For over two decades Corlita has worked with non-profits with a commitment to social justice and human rights at their core. She comes to H-CAP from 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds, where she worked as a workforce development consultant under the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program. In her latest role Corlita worked with several healthcare provider networks to offer innovative training to healthcare workers as part of the charge to highlight, build and grow sustainable competencies that recognize existing skills and a value-based approach to the healthcare delivery system.
Previously Corlita worked as a strategic planning consultant, organizer and advocate in juvenile and adult (criminal) justice reform, hospitality worker rights and the right to return and community justice following Hurricane Katrina.
Corlita has a BA in Liberal Arts, and an MA in Media Studies and Management from the New School.
