Filaine deronnette
Executive Director
Filaine Deronnette is a seasoned labor, healthcare workforce, and organizational leader with more than two decades of experience advancing workers, equity, and economic opportunity. Before joining H-CAP, she served in senior leadership roles with 1199SEIU and the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, where she helped strengthen labor-management partnerships, workforce development strategies, and leadership pipelines.
In addition to her organizational leadership, Filaine has provided independent consulting, executive coaching, strategic facilitation, and leadership development support to mission-driven organizations, public-sector leaders, and community partners.
She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Health Equity Compact and is a member of the Governor’s Black Empowerment Advisory Council and the Massachusetts Public Education Nominating Council. Her previous board service includes serving as Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Health Connector Board.
A fun fact about Filaine is that leadership is truly a family affair—she and her husband serve together in ministry, and they are the proud parents of three sons who keep their home filled with music, sports, creativity, and plenty of laughter.
