Liz Cohen

Project Coordinator

Liz Cohen is a Project Coordinator at the Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP). In this role, she supports the development and implementation of the Michigan Nursing Home Workforce Stabilization Grant in the Northern Michigan region. Her aim is to foster relationships and partnerships with nursing home operators, unions, healthcare workers, educational institutions, and state and local agencies to build a robust training, recruitment, and retention program.

Liz has a strong background in relationship-building in the healthcare field. Prior to joining H-CAP, she served as Care Liaison and Care Advisor for CareLinx, a nationwide in-home care service for older adults, where she significantly expanded the reach of services in Michigan. While at CareLinx, she created meaningful professional connections with caregivers, clients, and case management teams, working toward the shared goals of continuity of care for older adults in their homes and fulfilling employment for caregivers. Her experience working closely with professional caregivers instilled in her a worker-centered approach, and a commitment to striving for racial equity and justice for healthcare workers.
